Gerlev is an internationally oriented folk high school in Denmark with a significant number of international students. In a typical year, Gerlev has had 30 international students every semester, before the Covid-19 pandemic. Gerlev has not, until now, fully linked its teaching and curriculum directly to the Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, tying Gerlev’s global network of former and present international students together with the SDGs and enabling Danish students to engage in Sport for Development initiatives from across the world will allow to “close the circle” in Gerlev’s international work. With the Future MOVE project, Gerlev will “mainstream” the SDGs in their work and to tie this into specific actions and projects both in Denmark and in developing countries.
